25 Apr Twenty years of (the Price of) Anarchy (20PoA)
The 20PoA meeting will be a retrospective of the developments of the last two decades on the Price of Anarchy (PoA), i.e., the inefficiency of equilibria in games and the ways to measure it as introduced by Koutsoupias and Papadimitriou in 1999. The workshop’s main goal will be to provide a broad view of the main theoretical contributions to the PoA together with its applications in various fields. This will be accomplished by bringing together leading scholars from computer science, operations research, and transportation in order to examine the present activity around this seminal topic. The main contributors to this literature will take part in the workshop. The role and presence of GAMENET in organizing this event will integrate the action even further in the global scientific community.
